Drawing inspiration from classic hat silhouettes of the past - from sports to military and everything in between - Thheme is focused on showcasing the endless possibilities of what can be done with something as simple as a hat.
All of our hats are handmade by the yellow-hat-wearing, yellow Mini Cooper-driving man pictured above, with a focus on using primarily deadstock fabrics and upcycled materials. These are sourced from a variety of places, including deadstock fabric suppliers, estate sales, thrift stores, markets, garment factories, and generous big brained individuals.
By reusing and recycling overlooked textiles and materials, we give them a second life, right on top of your perfect brain, while also keeping them out of landfills, where they'd be sad and never decompose.
Currently made to order in Aotearoa, New Zealand with love of the highest level.

The measurements provided are to be used as a rough guide. Sizing of each hat can vary slightly depending on what fabric is being used. If you have any sizing questions, please reach out.


SHIPPING
Webstore Hat Orders
Unless noted otherwise, all hats are made-to-order and will ship within 7-10 days of your order being placed. Tracking information will be provided once your order has shipped.
Custom Hat Orders
Please allow up to 14 days for custom hat orders to be completed and shipped after your order is finalized and the remaining balance is paid. Tracking information will be provided once your order has shipped.
Delivery Timeframes
Australia / Pacific: ~6-14 business days
Asia: ~6-14 business days
Canada: ~6-14 business days
Rest of World: ~6-14 business day
Please note: The above timeframes are subject to local and international shipping delays and can vary depending on your specific location. For any shipping questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
International Custom Duties
Orders shipped outside of New Zealand may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees charged by the destination country.
These charges are applied once the shipment arrives in your country and must be paid by the recipient. We have no control over these fees and cannot estimate what they might be.
Customs policies vary widely, so please contact your local customs office for more information. Please note that customs processing may delay delivery.
Failed Delivery
If delivery fails due to an incorrect address provided by the customer, multiple failed delivery attempts, or failure to collect a package from customs or the local post office within the allowed time, the item will be returned to sender. In this case, the customer will be responsible for paying the cost of a second delivery.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Webstore Hat Orders
Returns are accepted for webstore hat orders, provided the hat is in its original condition with no visible signs of wear. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment once the returned item has been received and processed.
You are responsible for all return shipping costs and are liable for lost or stolen packages. With that in mind, we recommend using a trackable service to return your items.
If the item you’d like to exchange for is out of stock, we’ll issue either a full refund or store credit, which can be used toward a custom hat order.
Custom Hat Orders
Returns are accepted for custom hat orders, provided the hat is in its original condition with no visible signs of wear.
You may choose between:
- A partial refund of 50% of your order’s value, or
- Our Re-Brain™ service (see below), which allows you to have the hat remade with necessary adjustments.
You are responsible for all return shipping costs and are liable for lost or stolen packages. With that in mind, we recommend using a trackable service to return your items.
Re-Brain™
If you're unhappy with the fi ,though that makes me a little sad, I understand that every head is different, and not every hat fits the same.
That’s why we offer our proprietary Re-Brain™ service in place of a full refund. This gives you the opportunity to have your hat remade free of charge with the necessary adjustments (e.g., additional depth, wider circumference, etc.).
Please note that fabric stock varies. If you’d like to use the same fabric, message us as soon as possible so we can reserve it for your new hat. If the original fabric is unavailable, you can choose a different one from our current stock.
If you choose the Re-Brain™ service, you’ll be responsible for the additional shipping costs of your remade hat.
